As mentioned in the previous blog post, you can add a split/key ring to other knotted cross variations, and this example is done with the lanyard knot using gutted paracord and a 1" diameter ring.
I have the ring set in between the knots, but you could also tie the knots around the rings if using un-gutted paracord, or other sizes/types of cordage and rings...
Shown attached to my CRKT Nirk Novo, and although there's no dedicated lanyard hole, a lanyard/fob will fit in the handle cutouts and the unusual lock mechanism still functions.
And a couple more variations, one made using un-gutted paracord with the cross knot and a 1" ring, and another done with two-strand wall knots(ABoK#775)...

Stormdrane,
I've known about your blog for quite a while now, and only recently started tying stuff with paracord. I have been watching a bunch of your and JD's videos in youtube. I successfully tied the two bight turk's head using your video. If there is one thing I would ask, and that is when you shoot video, please pause after each step in the knot. Thanks.
Hey TotC, Just wanted to let you know that you can stop and start or rewind all of SD videos. Hope that might help you. Happy tying.
Wicked as usual.... B)
I'm curious what knife that is in the first picture.
@Mark Wing, The knife in the first photo is a CRKT Nirk Novo. ;)
Good morning Stormdrane! Just wanted to pass this along for all you people that have been looking for a clay stylus at your local hobby store,I found a three piece set in of all places in the wood working section. Go figure. Any how SD I did your long 3b tutorial on one of the stylus with 1.4mm cord in two color, and it came out very nice. But I'am stuck with terminating my ends (4ea) and I can not figure out a safe way to end them? So can you give me some advice? Man I have been wondering how the heck do you terminate that .9mm? You must have the precision of a doctor, seriously lol.You are the best and thanks so much as always!!Scot
@Scot, The end strands of turk's head knots can be run up under the knot and out the far end, where further knot work could be done with the strands, like on a cane, or run just part ways under the knot then out, tighten/dress the knot, trim, and tuck to finish. I may use melting, sewing, or super glue to further secure a knot if needed.
The start strands can be trimmed and tucked where they are, or run up under the knot before tightening. Each knot is different and depending on cord size and passes can vary how it'll look when finished, so how I finish each one is on a case by case basis...
