Hemp is another inexpensive cordage to try using. Most folks probably don't realize there are many uses for it other than the drug culture.
Here's a braided hemp neck lanyard.

  1. I really like your work I am getting started in making landyards. I just ordered a small knitting spool. Can you tell me what knot do you use to end it on your neck lanyards.

  2. That's a the snake knot on the end of the neck lanyards. I take the two cords from the ends of the lanyard and loop them around the attachment(split ring, swivel clip, etc.) and make the snake knot back towards the lanyard keeping the cords from the lanyard in the center of the snake knot.
