Paracord Chain Sinnet Quick Deployment Boonie Hatband

Just another integration of paracord and a boonie hat that some may find useful, this time using a chain sinnet(ABoK #2868)...


I think the video should be easy enough to follow. I've also added a photo collage for those that want something to print out.

    Great vid SD... the music was a nice touch. I actually have an old urban camo boonie to try this on somewhere. Admittedly I'm more of a baseball hat guy but your love for this style of hat is slowly rubbing off on me! ;)

    This is very ingenious. It sure is a fast way for ready paracord. Specially if you are someone that spends time in the field. Such as an active duty soldier, etc., etc., :-) Simply..... awesome! hehe

    I have used nylon webbing for some simple projects, like this one, and have done some knot work over webbing, but it generally folds up when you tighten up the knot work over it, so it's not always practical in those uses.

    I've done some paracord work over cotton webbing type belts, but it does make them wider/thicker, so they may not fit through belt loops on some pants, and sheaths/pouches/holsters, and belt clips may not fit over them afterwards.

    The Slatt's Rescue Belt tutorial has an example of webbing used to make the belt adjustable...

    You might find some ideas for webbing uses on the DIY TACTICAL forums.

    @David, I just chose an AudioSwap tune from YouTube that was around the same length as the video. There are thousands of possibilities, so I'm not sure who's playing. Sometimes YouTube automatically lists the author/band below the video, but not always...

    @James Hill, The closest I've found to dark red/crimson colored 550 paracord is 'maroon' or 'burgundy'. I don't see either currently listed with the Supply Captain but they do show up with other vendors in a Google search.

    Thanks, Stormdrane. I've looked at every online store I can find (including Supply Captain) but haven't yet located the red I need. I have an order for several University of Alabama Crimson Tide bracelets and lanyards....I've seen some Roll Tide paracord stuff for sale so I am assuming *somebody* makes this stuff!
