Two color monkey's fist...

Toxic green and black monkey fist with a doubled lanyard knot and hangman's noose. a 1" wooden ball was used for the monkey fist's center. It's made the same way as a regular monkey fist except you're using two strands. Just go slow and keep the lines from getting tangled as you go. Posted by Picasa

what is the name of the n=knot that connects the 4 pieces of line into that diamond knot shape

@Fleet Admiral Wilson, After tying the monkey's fist I tied a lanyard knot, just with the four strands paired off and treated as two. A hangman's noose was used to finish at the attachment point, to add to a knife, key ring, etc...

I made mine and it came out great! thanks!

How did you hide the other 3 lines when you did your hangman's knot, snip them short and burn?

@Fleet Admiral Wilson, Yes, I cut three of them as close to the knot as possible, then a quick melt of the ends to prevent fraying, and use the end of my hemostats or clay stylus tool to tuck them back into the knot, and mold the knot around and over the ends to hide them, leaving one strand for attachment.

A drop of super glue on those trimmed ends, or needle and thread run through the knot can help to further secure them, but if you've gotten the knot good and tight, it's usually not necessary.
