Here's a diamond/spiral braid lanyard I made with Type I paracord for my SOG multi-tool. I used a small swivel clip on one end and a small carabiner on the other end where I did an eye splice with common whipping over the splice.

@Anonymous, There's a small flat steel piece with a hole that rotates out for use, under the nut at the outside handle end of the SOG S44 multitool.
Some of the SOGs have them and some do not. There's a similar one on the orginal Leatherman PST tool, but this tool was missing that piece when I bought it new, and after emailing SOG, they sent me a replacement.
I used a small swivel clip with the lanyard, from enchantingbeads.com, that fit through the hole of the SOG attachment, for easy on/off lanyard use.
