I bought some new paracord from the Supply Captain in a red/white/blue pattern. I just tried it out with a paracord bracelet and a round sinnet fob. And a cross.

They also now have a MULTI CAMOFLAUGE pattern in 550 paracord, but I didn't get any of that color so I'm not sure if it's the same as MARPAT. And the 'Type I' size paracord is available in the coyote brown color too.

It is probably Crye MultiCam
http://www.multicampattern.com/ colors based on the color in the picture and the name.

That cord is really cool. I think I'll order some of that once I'm done moving.

I just want to say thanks for the great page. I've kept my eye on it for months and am just getting started with knot tying. I've had a few books delivered to help me and the links on your page were great for supplies and instructions too. I've only been able to use OD Green but I just got some other colors in. I took your cross and used the tail to make a full Rosary for my grandmother-in-law that prays for me everyday while I'm deployed to Afghanistan. I don't think I would have had the idea with out your blog. Thank you and keep up the great work.

How did you make the cross? It looks like a simple square braid but I don't see how you transitioned to the arms and back to the top.

It's a round sinnet instead of square, but they're done the same way when making the cross.

First I make the lower section and the top section of the cross, then hold them together and do the arms, using two strands from the top and two from the bottom for each arm, doing one arm(make sure to get the first set tight, trim/melt the ends when done, then the other.

Look thru the 'Older posts' and you'll find the photos showing it.

Thanks. It's simple once the secret is revealed. I particularly like the one made with the snake knot.
