Mustard makes the cut...

I had some 'mustard' yellow paracord left over from a recent project, and used a single twenty foot continuous length strand in this two-peg spool knit 'pray for fire' lanyard.

There's a 2" x 1/8" firesteel tucked down the center of the cross, alongside the couple of other strands in the core of the cross (loop end strands ~ cow/ring/girth hitched onto the snap hook).

The finished length is about 27" long, from snap hook/sailor's cross knot end to the other loop and lanyard/diamond knot end.

And another paracord wallet lanyard, shown attached to a wallyworld test trifold biker/trucker wallet from the gadget drawer collection, and I used some 'licorice' 425 paracord for the sailor's cross knot.

Charley horse of the fingers...

I was digging through some of my storage totes and boxes while looking for some items in particular, and I ended up pulling some paracord, knot tying tools, and accessories out and stuffing them into a spare duffel bag, so I would have some to work with.

I tied several monkey's fists, using 3/4" wooden ball cores with some old Comlax cord and twisted cotton line.

I put together just enough of 'em to make my hands ache and my fingers cramp up.  I'll give them to Pa to hand out at the church food pantry/ministry as he sees fit.

I haven't tied much lately, with most of my things packed away to declutter the house before it goes up for sale, and when I go too long without tying knots, I forget how to tie them and have to go watch old tutorials for a refresher, lol.

The realtor and photographer are supposed to be coming by tomorrow, to take pics before the house listing goes up, so there's more last minute cleaning to do too...

paracord and brass

Today's EDC (everyday carry) keychain setup has an olive drab three peg spool knit Type I/95 paracord lanyard with snap hook at one end, and an 80lb test heavy duty split ring at the other for attachment options.

A few brass components include a keychain pen, bamboo shaped whistle, Pico Pull capsule, and Maratac AAA LED flashlight.

I have my truck key, KeySmart organizer, squeeze LED flashlight, and cross shield pendant on a detachable clip for the keychain, so all of the stuff isn't hanging from the ignition when I'm out driving.

The lanyard itself, with snap hook and small split ring, is around 27" long, so there's plenty of reach to use components/keys without having to detach it when the snap hook end is clipped to a belt loop, or used the other way around with a belt run through the loop end and snap hook attached to the keyring.

As an Amazon affiliate I earn a small percentage of sales when folks go to amazon through my links and shop, and that helps pay the bills, so, 'Thanks!'.

If you need an edc backpack, check out the limited edition VENOM and VENOM RED mochi drawstring backpacks with Stormdrane logo and stitched paracord handle.  I receive a percentage from the sale of each of those versions from Mochibrand.
