Snake Knot Knife Fob

I used a couple of feet of paracord for this snake knot knife fob. It's a simple alternative to a similar shape/size hangman's noose. These simple fobs can serve as decoration on a knife utilizing the lanyard hole, offering a better grip, and it can make digging a pocket knife from the depths of a pocket a little bit easier.

I finally figured out what this knot reminded me of, it looks a lot like the Double Figure-8 knot, #523 in Ashleys. I made a similar lanyard for my sailing knife, I'll send you a pic to compare the 2 if you'd like.

Thanks!

I'll have to look it up and see if it's the same. There are so many names for the same knots depending on the sources. For example, the Soloman Bar is also called a Portuguese sinnet, as well as a cobra stitch, and I've seen it referred to as a square knot as well. It can add to the confusion on learning a knot sometimes.
