0.9mm Braided Nylon Cord

I used a three peg knitting spool to make this lanyard shown attached to a Victorinox Farmer. The Ashley Book of Knots actually has a section on knitting spools and calls this a six sided sinnet. I used about 10 feet of 0.9mm braided nylon cord(40 lb test) for it and made lanyard knots to attach the ends to the small swivel clip and the small carabiner. The finished length is about a foot long between the attachments, so it's long enough to use as a wrist lanyard too.

Thank you. It does take a little patience, but it's not that hard to learn, and there's plenty of online resources to learn from. ;)

Hey Stormdrane,

just a quick note. I was trying to access the link for the Ashley book of Knots, however the link is the same one for the Victor knife. Just saying.....

Stormdrane, Sorry if this is a
"noob" question, I've only been into this a few months now;
I tried to similar lanyard with a 2 peg for my 'Scout' Victorinox, and I was just wondering what you did to finish the ends after tying the little lanyard knots? to you just trim flush? or something special?
Thanks in advance, Tom

I tuck the end of the cord into the center of the braid. A pair of hemostats can help. Usually just an inch of so worth of the end of the cord, and it stays there.
